William G. Brown, age 73, of Janesville, WI joined his wife, Charlene Brown in Heaven on May 14, 2022 following a short bout with cancer. He was born in Janesville on May 4, 1949, the son of George and Lillian (Schmitt) Brown. He grew up in Janesville and graduated from Janesville High School in 1967. William married Charlene Minarick on March 21, 1968. He was employed as a glazier by National Mirror and Glass Company of Beloit for over 40 years. William and Charlene also operated Brown’s Antiques in South Beloit, IL for many years. He was a member of the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades. William loved bass fishing. He enjoyed woodworking and wood carving. He was an avid gardener and especially enjoyed gardening in the Japanese gardens that he and Charlene had in their backyard. William is survived by his daughter, Clover (Kevin) Knaus of Janesville; his son, Michael (John Marin) Brown of Palm Desert, CA; his sister, Barbara (Mark) Storch of Jeffersonville, VT. He was preceded in death by his wife, Charlene who passed away January 16, 2022; his parents, George and Lillian Brown; his brother, Thomas Brown. A Celebration of Life to honor the lives of both William and Charlene Brown will be held on Saturday August 13, 2022 from 12 Noon to 4:30 p.m. at the BUTTERFLY CLUB, Beloit.
