Warren Russell Smith Jr.

Warren Russell Smith Jr. of Janesville, WI passed away on February 20, 2025 at Oak Park Place at age 94. He was born in Lancaster, PA on August 22, 1930, the son of Warren R. Smith Sr. and Beulah Carolyn Dodd Hauer. He graduated from Solanco High School in 1949 and in 1977 from Elizabethtown College. Warren later received a degree to be a certified public accountant.

Warren served in the U. S. Army in Germany during the Korean War and was a veteran of 6 years of service. He was formerly employed as a certified public accountant by Virchow Krause and later operated his own accounting business for several years. Warren was an active member of Trinity Episcopal Church.

Warren is survived by his wife, Adella (Klemp) Smith of Janesville; children, Warren R. (Mary Jane) Smith III of York, PA, Duane (Sherry) Smith of Lancaster, PA, Thomas (Deb) Smith of York, PA, Carolyn E. Smith (Paul) Isbell of Cocoa Beach, FL; step-sons Edward (Karen) Schultz of Janesville, James (Debra) Schultz of Janesville; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; siblings, Merlin (Betty) Hauer, Michael (Linda) Hauer, Lorraine (Charlie) Allmaras. sister-in-law, Dona Smith. He was preceded in death by his mother Beulah Hauer; father, Warren R. Smith Sr.; grandmother who raised him Lottie Fitzgerald Dodd; brothers, Wayne Smith, Harold Hauer, Randolph Hauer and Richard Hauer.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, February 27, 2025 at TRINITY EPISCOPAL CHURCH. Father TJ Humphrey will preside. Visitation will be held at the church from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday. Military rites will follow the services at the church conducted by Kienow-Hilt V.F.W. Post # 1621. HENKE-CLARSON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY is assisting the family with the arrangements.
