Vance Payne

Vance Dale Payne, age 65, of Janesville, passed away on April 3rd, 2023, at Mercyhealth Hospital & Trauma Center. He was born on February 25th, 1958, in Frankfort, Germany, where his father served in the U.S. Army. He is the son of Dale and Valerie (Geske) Payne. Vance grew up in Janesville, where he graduated in 1976 from Parker High School.

Vance spent many years working as a carpenter and handyman, always willing to learn a new skill to help someone. He enjoyed woodworking, building furniture, playing pool, and photography. Above all else, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, family, and many close friends.

Vance Payne is survived by four children; Tanya (Mercedez) Kraege, Brian Allinger, Chad Payne, Jennifer (Nathan) Payne; Grandchildren, Christopher, Ahzhaylia, Trinity, Serenity, Finnegan, and Alessandra; His mother, Valerie Payne; His sister; Terry Payne.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dale Payne.

Funeral services will be at noon Tuesday, April 11th, 2023, at HENKE-CLARSON FUNERAL HOME, 1010 N. Wright Road, Janesville. Burial will follow in Milton Lawns Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the FUNERAL HOME from 10 a.m. until the time of services Tuesday, April 11th. The Payne family is being assisted by HENKE-CLARSON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY.
