Susan Rose Hohmann, age 55, of Janesville, WI passed away from injuries suffered in an automobile accident on Sunday, April 23, 2023. She was born on February 25, 1968 in Richardsville, IA, the daughter of Cyril and Carol (Kluesner) Elsinger. She grew up in the Richardsville area and graduated from Leo High School, Holy Cross, IA.
Susan received a degree in respiratory therapy and was employed as a respiratory therapist at William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital, Madison for 27 years.
Susan enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, traveling, gardening and going to garage sales. Above all else her favorite activity was spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving are her children; Ashley (Shawn) Hartlaub, Jeffrey (Ashley) Hohmann, Jeremy (Martha) Hohmann; grandchildren, Naomi, Emma, Sam, Isabella, Noah, Scarlett, Caleb, Briella, Esme; her father, Cyril (Lois) Elsinger; her brothers and sister, Jim (Pam) Elsinger, Bruce (Amie) Elsinger, Dave Elsinger, Linda (Pedro) Hermon, Mark (April) Elsinger; her fiancé, David Dransfield; her “Bestie” Wendy (Fiore) Taylor. Her mother, Carol Elsinger preceded her in death.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at NATIVITY OF MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, Janesville on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. Father Matthew Pearson will preside. Visitation will be held at the CHURCH on Saturday, April 29th from 11 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Susan’s name to Disabled American Veterans at dav.org.
