Stuart A. Phetteplace, age 90, of Janesville died on July 30, 2021 at his home. He was born on December 14, 1930 in Waukeza, WI, the son of Wilson and Lorraine (Rice) Phetteplace. He grew up in Wauzeka where he attended school and graduated from Beloit High School. Stuart served in Korea during the Korean War where he was a Sergeant in the U.S. Army. Stuart married Cathleen Yuengst on June 13, 1953. He was employed by the Rock County Sheriff’s Department as a deputy sheriff for a time and then went to work for W.R. Arthur Company (JATCO) where he was employed as a truck driver for 34 years. Following retirement from JATCO, he was employed part-time by Data Dimensions for several years. Stuart is survived by the love of his life to whom he was married for 68 years, Cathleen Phetteplace; three children, Timothy (Maria), Heidi, Christopher (Chrissy); four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Ryan, his brother, Donald and his sister, Nancy. As per his request, private family graveside services will be held at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the Golden Retriever Rescue of Wisconsin. The family is being assisted by HENKE-CLARSON FUNERAL HOME.
