Scott Alan Helgestad

Scott Alan Helgestad, age 72 of Burlington, WI passed away at Javon Bea Hospital, Rockford, Il on Monday, July 1, 2024. Scott was born in Edgerton, WI on July 18, 1951, the son of Perry and Marcia (Pastorius) Helgestad. He grew up in Edgerton and graduated from Edgerton High School in 1969.

Scott married Dori Hoppman on May 10, 1975. He has resided in Burlington since 1976 and was employed as a measurement technician by ANR Pipeline Company for over 30 years.

Scott was an avid outdoorsman who especially enjoyed duck hunting, deer hunting and fishing. He was a longtime very active member of the Burlington Conservation Club. He was also a member of the Wisconsin Wildlife Federation and Wings Over Wisconsin.

Scott Helgestad is survived by his son, Ryan (Kelly) Helgestad of Brodhead, WI; granddaughter Rylee Helgestad of Brodhead; his mother Marcia Helgestad of Janesville, WI, his life-long friend, Dori Helgestad-Weiler of Muskego, WI; sister-in-law Marilyn Helgestad of Wisconsin Rapid, WI; nephews Erik (Brittny) Helgestad and Mike (Mandy) Helgestad; special friends Brian and Linda Shepherd.

Scott was preceded in death by his father, Perry Helgestad, son Brett Helgestad and brother, Tom Helgestad.
