Ruth Bernice Martin

Ruth Bernice Martin, age 91 of Janesville resident passed away at Cedar Crest Assisted Living on June 28, 2023. She was born on December 25, 1931 in Janesville, the daughter of Meredith and Gladys (Heller) Hansen. She attended Janesville schools and was a Janesville High School graduate.

Ruth married Lewis Martin on May 23, 1953 in Janesville. She was a life-long Janesville resident and a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church.

Ruth is survived by her husband of over 70 years, Lewis Martin; son, Gary (Debbie) Martin of Columbia City, IN; grandchildren Tyler Martin, Anna Martin, Matt (Shannon) Martin, Aaron (Britt) Martin, Brent (Alex) Martin; great grandchildren Lexus Martin, James Marklein, Joseph Marklein, Hadley Martin, Maeva Martin, Ryker Martin, Hawkin Martin. She was preceded in death by her son, Steven Martin, grandson, Jake Martin, her parents and her brother Robert Hansen.
