Ruben Cano Olvera

JANESVILLE - Ruben Cano Olvera, age 65, of Janesville, WI passed away January 6, 2023, at Mercy Hospital. He was born in Yuriria, Guanajuato, Mexico on November 20, 1957, the son of Nicolas and Ofelia Cano Olvera. He has been a Janesville area resident since the 1970’s and was employed by S & H Egg Farm in Palmyra until retiring.

Ruben is survived by three children; Tara Olvera, Karla Olvera, Nicholas Olvera; stepchildren, Julie DeWitt and Jeremy Milam; grandchildren, Javonta Rufus, Jayden Rufus, Javier VanDiver, Kylee Olvera, Keegan Olvera, Liam Olvera, Evan Wiemeri, Alan DeWitt, Camille DeWitt; his mother, Ofelia Cano Olvera; several brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and extended family and a special friend, Amy Milam. He was preceded in death by his father, two brothers and a granddaughter, Olivia Olvera.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, January 13, 2023, in the auditorium at St. Patrick’s Church Parish Center, 305 Lincoln Street, Janesville. Father Drew Olson will preside. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services at the parish center on Friday, January 13th.
