Roger W. Fenrich

Roger William Fenrich, age 85, of Footville, WI died peacefully July 9, 2024, at Monroe Hospice Home. Roger was born on November 4, 1938, in Center Township, the son of Herbert and Ella (Wilke) Fenrich.

Roger married Donna in 1993, they enjoyed life to the fullest until her passing in 2011. At an early age Roger worked at General Motors for 16 years before becoming a full-time farmer. Roger’s proudest achievement was working alongside his son Daniel to build Fenrich Farms. One of his greatest joys in recent years was morning coffee with Dan and the guys, where they would talk about what was happening each day, what fields they would be working in, and how the crops were looking. Roger had a full and colorful life, and he lived it fully. He always had a room temperature Keystone ready for anyone who needed one.

Roger is survived by his brother, Robert Fenrich; three children, Mitzi (Paul) Bussard, Dan (Aggie) Fenrich, and Carol (Fenrich) Shew; four stepchildren, Julie (Kevin) Gies, Timothy (Kim) Brown, Greg (Carrie) Brown, and Melissa (Kevin) Willett; grandchildren, Joshua (Jessica) Wendt, Katie (Rudy) Lothary, Becky (Dario) Jorge, Jolene (Tony) Scofield, Emilie (Charlie) Shew, Alex (Sara) Shew, Jordan and Rachel Gies, Jared Brown, Samantha and Schyler Brown, and Leah and Dylan Willett; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Donna; his parents; his sister, Ruth (Russell) Snyder; his dear Aunt Clara Harnack; and a grandchild, Kyle Gies.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to Noon Monday, July 15,2024 at ZION LUTHERAN CHURCH, Center Township with funeral services to follow at Noon Monday July 15th at the CHURCH. Pastor Carl Seeger will officiate. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established.
