Robert Wayne Martin

Robert Wayne Martin, age 90, of Janesville, WI passed away on August 29, 2023 at Cedar Crest. He was born in Janesville on January 31, 1933 the son of Oscar and Nellie (Risch) Martin. Robert grew up on farms in the Janesville and Evansville areas. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army.

Robert married Myrna Dell in December of 1953 and later married Joyce (Jacobson) Erdman on April 12, 1971. She preceded him in death on March 31, 2011. Robert began hauling milk at the age of 16. Following a four year stint in the U.S. Army he bought several milk routes and trucks and started Robert Martin Inc. Milk Haulers. After retiring from milk hauling, he began developing land he owned into what is now known as Rockport Ridge Estates.

During his lifetime, Bob enjoyed many trips to Las Vegas and other gambling spots in that area. He always enjoyed bowling as well as a good game of cards. A true animal lover, he always had a soft spot in his heart for stray cats.

Bob Martin is survived by his children; Elaine (Steven) Kersten, Angela (Greg) Brudos, Curt (Lorie) Martin, Karen (Paul) Gilbertson, Sue Ellen (Scott) Chambers; son-in-law, Michael Bobzien; grandchildren, Brice (Niki) Bobzien, Brent Bobzien, Tanya (Eric) Arndt, Thyra ( Carl Ahrens) Fosmoen, Ryan Martin, Katie (Duane Raiche) Martin, Bradley (Mandy) Gilbertson, Jenna (Mike) Oja, Austyn Chambers; great grandchildren, Jacob Gilbertson, Emersyn Arndt, Reed Fosmoen, Levi Ahrens, Brock Bobzien, Devin Bobzien, Kylie Shaw and Gabe Shaw. He is also survived by his two cats, Midnight and Spooky.

Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Martin; daughters Lisa Bobzien and Jennifer Shaw; his parents Oscar and Nellie Martin; brother Willis Martin; sisters Arlene Hartwig and Dorothy Natz.

A visitation will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at HENKE-CLARSON FUNERAL HOME, 1010 N. Wright Road, Janesville, Following a procession to MILTON LAWNS MEMORIAL PARK, a service will be held there in the CHAPEL at 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 5th officiated by Rev.
