Robert Joseph Gile

Robert Joseph Gile, age 67, of Janesville passed away at his home on June 10, 2022. He was born in Shullsburg, WI on January 3, 1955, the son of Robert A. and Margaret M. (Wacholtz) Gile. He grew up in Shullsburg and after the family moved to Janesville, he graduated from Janesville Craig High School in 1973. Following graduation, Robert joined the U. S. Army and served in Germany where he met and married his wife, Andrea. A son, Eric was born of the marriage. After being honorably discharged from the army, he went to work as a truck driver and through the years drove for several trucking companies. He retired from Linde Trucking Company. Robert is survived by his son, Eric (Jessica) Gile of Clearwater, FL; two sisters, Jane (Jeff) Furst of Madison, WI, and Chris (Jeff) Johnson of Janesville; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Margaret; his step-father, Delbert McCoy; brother, Don Gile; his sister, Joan Bailey. Per Robert’s request, no service will be held.
