Robert John Skinner, age 75, of Janesville went to be with his Lord on December 25, 2021. He was born in Newberry, MI on July 24, 1946, the son of Harley and Lucy (Gilman) Skinner. He grew up in Rhinelander, WI where he graduated from high school. Robert married June I. Krueger on Feb. 16, 1966. He had been a Janesville resident since 1966. He was employed by General Motors in Janesville for 30 years prior to retiring and was a member of U.A. W. Local # 95. Other than his family, of utmost importance in Bob’s life was his church. He was an extremely active member of Roxbury Church of Christ where he was a former elder, led Bible Study groups, did communion preparation, and with his beloved wife, June served funeral lunches as well as meals for other functions at the church. Basically, Bob was involved in nearly any program or function Roxbury Church was involved in. He had also been active in the Living Waters program. Robert is survived by his wife, June Skinner; daughter, Lori (Kyle) Kasten; grandchildren, Michael Muenchow, Kyle Muenchow, Nicole Muenchow, Megan Anderson, Morgan Anderson; great-granddaughter, Sophia Muenchow; brother, Harley (Cindy) Skinner; sisters; Cindy (Mike) Carroll, Cheryl (Mark) Hendrickson, Linda (James) Anderson, Judy Skinner, Jackie (Dan) Hunter, Jean Dyer; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant brother. Visitation will be held from 11:30 to 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 29, 2021 ROXBURY CHURCH OF CHRIST, 2103 Roxbury Road, Janesville. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. Wednesday, December 29th at the CHURCH with Pastor Marc Grindle officiating. Robert Skinner’s family is being assisted by HENKE-CLARSON FUNERAL HOME.
