Robert G. Ball

Robert George Ball, age 79 of Janesville, WI passed away at Edgerton Care Center on January 30, 2025. He was born May 21, 1945, in Janesville, the son of Harold and Mary (Vint) Ball. He grew up in Janesville, graduated from Janesville Senior High School and attended UW-Whitewater. Robert served in the U.S. Marine Corps from September 5, 1963 to October 21, 1966.

Robert married Donna J. Smith on December 13, 1975. They were blessed with two children, Nathan and Karen. He was employed for 30 years by Prent Corporation. Robert enjoyed bowling, fishing, nature walks and football. He was a member of Roxbury Church of Christ.

Robert is survived by his wife, Donna; children, Nathan (Carina) Ball and Karen (Anthony) Christensen; grandchildren, Lexus Martin, Jackson Percival, and Mylah Dee; sisters, Mary Klein, Harriet (Martin) Colip, Frances Basiks, and Janet Potts; brothers, Richard (Faye) Ball, William (Sharon Purcell) Ball, Roger (Linda) Ball, and Clifford Ball; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, February 7, 2025, at ROXBURY CHURCH OF CHRIST, 2103 Roxbury Road, Janesville. Pastor Jon Grice will officiate. Kienow-Hilt V.F.W. Post # 1621 will perform military rites at the conclusion of the service at the church. There will be no visitation prior to the service but the family will meet friends in the church fellowship hall for a time of fellowship following the services. Entombment will be at a later date at Milton Lawns Memorial Park.
