Raymond E. Stephan

Janesville/Elkhorn: Raymond E. Stephan “Big Ray” 83 years old of Janesville, WI passed away Saturday, March 9, 2024, at Willowick Assisted Living, Beloit, WI. He was born in Elkhorn, WI on April 28, 1940, to Raymond Stephan Sr. and Lucille (Cone) Stephan. Raymond was united in marriage to Elaine R. Oertel on January 15, 1972.

Raymond was a veteran and served in the National Guard 32nd Division out of Jefferson, WI from 1959 to 1965. He worked in factories and foundries in Walworth County and Rock County.

Raymond loved playing music at home and in bars. He loved fishing and parks as well as spending time with his family.

Raymond is survived by his wife, Elaine; daughters Tina Stephan and Hiede J. Phen; sons Jeffrey, Curtis and Shanindoea Stephan; 11 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Richard “Dick” Stephan and son Curtis.

A Celebration of Life will be held on April 27, 2024 from 1 to 5 p.m.at Roxtar Bar Banquet Hall located at 3900 Milton Ave., Janesville, WI 53546.
