Pauline F. Frank

JANESVILLE - Pauline Fern Frank, age 92 of Janesville passed away at Cozy Li’l Acre on February 28, 2024.

She was born in Janesville on July 8, 1931, the daughter of Dexter and Lucille (Proper) Olin. She was a graduate of Janesville High School class of 1949. She went to work at Fairbanks-Morse, Parker Pen Company, the Janesville Gazette and was mostly known for Dorothy’s Record Shop. “Polly” assisted many youngsters who spent their Saturdays spinning 45’s.

Pauline was a member of Bethel Church where she was very involved as a volunteer through the years. She had a passion for playing the piano, gave piano lessons for 20 years and would play for her children at bedtime to get them to sleep.

She loved the many cats she had throughout the years, bird watching, quilting, golf and working in her flower gardens while enjoying the warmth of the sun. Pauline had a big spirit and loved to talk as she spent many hours talking on the phone with friends and family.

Pauline is survived by her children; Gail Godding, Laury (Stephen) Schuler, Michael (Julie) Frank, Cara (Jay) Arena, and Hendrika Hanthorn; eight grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Olin; and grandson, Jordan Donahoo.

The family would like to thank the staff at Mercyhealth and her second family at Cozy Li’l Acre for the exceptional care that was given.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 14, 2024, at BETHEL CHURCH, 3300 Mount Zion Avenue, Janesville with private graveside services scheduled at a later date. Visitation will be held from 10:30 to 11:00 a.m. March 14th at church. Memorials may be made to Bethel Church.
