Paul Suchanek

Paul Michael Suchanek, age 65 of Janesville, WI passed away February 4, 2024 at his home. He was born in Fort Atkinson on September 10, 1958, the son of George A. and Shirley (Parat) Suchanek. He grew up in Whitewater and graduated from Whitewater High School in 1976.

Paul served in the U. S. Air Force from February 16, 1977 to January 20, 1981 and was a jet engine mechanic. He married Wilva Barlass on June 29, 1985 at Rock Prairie Presbyterian Church. He was employed by the Coburn Company in Whitewater and retired from ANGI Energy Systems as a machinist.

Paul enjoyed golfing and everyone will remember him for the outstanding baking he enjoyed doing. Among favorites were the chocolate chip cookies, rosettes and pumpkin pies. Above all else, being a grandpa meant the world to him.

Paul Suchanek is survived by his daughter, Rebecca (Jakob) Hitchcock; granddaughter, Hazel Hitchcock; brothers, Joseph (Cindy) Suchanek and Jerry (Cindy) Suchanek; sister-in-law, Mae (Brad) Cowan; numerous other family members and friends. Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Wilva on December 17, 2017. He is also preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Tom and Tony Suchanek.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, February 16, 2024 at HENKE-CLARSON FUNERAL HOME, 1010 N. Wright Road, Janesville. Rev. Dr. Bruce A. Jones will officiate. Military rights will be conducted by Kienow-Hilt V.F.W. Post # 1621. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. February 16th at the HENKE-CLARSON FUNERAL HOME.
