Patricia S. Schuler

April 3, 1946 — January 10, 2023

Patricia S Schuler of Janesville died peacefully at Mercyhealth Hospital in the early morning of January 10, 2023.


Patricia was born in the Chambersburg section of Trenton NJ to Pasquale and Irene Aversano. She attended St. Joachims’ catholic elementary school and then Steinert High School in Hamilton NJ where she graduated in 1964. In 1984, she received a degree in computer programming from Mercer County Community College.


In 1968, Patty married Ronald DePula and the couple had sons Michael and Patrick. Ronald predeceased her in 1982. In 1985, Patricia married Richard Schuler and they moved to Janesville Wisconsin in 1993 when the GM plant in Trenton announced its closure.


She worked at Kramer Trenton Company, then the Communication Workers of America, and finally Bristol Meyer’s Squibb for many years until moving to Janesville, Wisconsin.


Predeceased by both her parents, her first husband Ronald DePula and second husband Richard Schuler. She is survived by her caring sons, Patrick DePula (Nichole) of Monona, WI, Michael DePula of Tom’s River, NJ, beloved brother Ronald S Aversano and caring sister-in-law Rosemary of Robbinsville, NJ, adoring grandsons Salvatore and Joseph of Monona, WI, stepdaughter Jennifer Hoepner (Mike) of Conroe Texas, step grandchildren Ryan (Heidi) Hoepner and Jake Hoepner, special niece Krista Aversano (Wystan) and special nephew Salvatore (Monica) Aversano and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.


Patty loved animals and leaves behind her dogs Piper and Mindy, and parrots Buttons and Alex. She was an artist, musician and accomplished seamstress. Pre-covid Patty was very active in her parish, Nativity of Mary, as a volunteer.


She always did her very best and will be forever missed.


A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at NATIVITY OF MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH. Burial will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery. A visitation will be held at the CHURCH on Wednesday January 18th from 10 a.m. until the time of services. The Schuler family is being assisted by HENKE-CLARSON FUNERAL HOME.
