Nancy Sue Moore

Nancy Sue Moore, age 71, of Johnstown Center, WI passed away at her home on Sunday, October 15, 2023. She was born on May 16, 1952 in Marshalltown, IA, the daughter of Leonard and Doris (McKeighan) Warden.

Nancy graduated from Marshall town High School in 1970 and attended Iowa State University where she received a degree to be a registered dietitian. She moved to Johnstown Center when she married George William “Bill” Moore on July 5, 1986. The wedding took place at the Moore family farm home in Johnstown Center.

Nancy was employed as a dietician at various health care facilities in the Janesville area and retired from St. Elizabeth Nursing Home, Janesville.

Nancy was a member of Rock Prairie Presbyterian Church and the Rock County Homemakers Club. She had been a Girl Scouts Leader and enjoyed doing family history.

Nancy is survived by her daughter Elizabeth Moore (Devon Getchell); numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband George William “Bill” Moore on June 27, 2018. Her parents, two brothers, Harlan and Daniel Warden and her sister, Patricia Anderson also predeceased her.

A special thank you to Mercy Dialysis and Home Instead for the care they provided so she was able to be in the comfort of her own home.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 26, 2023 at Rock Prairie United Presbyterian Church, 8605 East County Road A, Janesville. Rev. Dr. Bruce A. Jones will officiate. Visitation will be held at the CHURCH on Thursday, October 26th from 10 to 11.m. Private burial will be in Milton Lawns Memorial Park. Memorials may be made in Nancy’s name to Rock Prairie United Presbyterian Church.
