Mildred L. Brown

On January 18th, 2018 Mildred L“Millie” Powell Brown completed her journey her on earth and joined her Savior and family in Heaven. Millie was born June 28th, 1926 in Dodgeville WI to Thomas and Elizabeth Powell. Millie’s wish at the time of her death was to donate her body to UW Madison for research. Millie married Loren E. Brown on September 26th, 1948. In 1958 the family moved to Milton WI for a short time before settling in Janesville WI where she lived for many years. Millie was a long time member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Janesville. Millie waitressed for many years, she loved talking with people she knew and those she didn’t know. She loved to garden. While living on Blaine Avenue they had a large garden with vegetables and lots of flowers. She was efficient in preserving food. Millie is survived by her daughter-in-law Kathy Brown, Menomonie WI. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Loren (Aug 2008), son Gary (Nov. 2008), brothers; Fred, Roy, Lavere, Woodrow and Richard. Other friends and family. Pastor Brett Voigt will officiate at a graveside service on August 2nd, 2019 at 1:30 PM at the Hill Grove Cemetery, Town of Colfax, Dunn County WI.
