Mike "Sully" Sullivan

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Michael Patrick Sullivan of Cross Plains, Wisconsin. Mike was 55 and passed away peacefully on December 23, 2024 at St Mary’s Hospital, Madison.

Mike was born on July 9, 1969, to Gerald and Julie (Kilmer) Sullivan in Janesville, Wi. Mike graduated from Craig High School in 1987, briefly attended the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire and moved to Madison in 1993. He married Jennifer Nett in 1997 and they moved to Cross Plains in 2004. They have a son, Sean and a daughter, Erin.

Mike grew up playing a variety of sports, but his favorite was hockey. After playing in high school, Mike continued playing hockey into his late 40’s in men’s league. He was a Chicago Blackhawks fan, so much so that all three family Golden Retrievers were named after Blackhawk players. He coached many of the sports the kids played and always enjoyed being involved in his kids lives. He was well known for his wit and sense of humor and was always the last to leave a party or get together.

He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Sullivan; his children, Sean and Erin Sullivan; his mother, Julie Sullivan; brother, Dan (Janie) Sullivan; aunt, Maureen Sullivan and Nieces Abby (Jordan) Finn and Autum Sullivan.

He is predeceased by his father Jerry Sullivan, his brother Steve (Sandy) Sullivan, and his grandparents.

A special thank you to all the nurses, doctors, and other medical staff at Encompass Rehab Facility, New Glarus Home, and St. Mary’s Hospital for taking such great care of Mike.

Visitation will be held Sunday, December 29, 2024, from 12 Noon to 3 p.m. at HENKE-CLARSON FUNERAL HOME, 1010 N. Wright Road, Janesville, WI followed by an Irish Wake at the Janesville Elks Lodge, 2100 N. Washington Street, Janesville, WI. from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday.
