Michael Quaerna

With deepest sorrow, we announce that Michael D. Quaerna, age 47 of Janesville, WI our most beloved son, brother, family member and friend, passed away at home on September 17, 2024 surrounded by his loving family after a short and courageous battle with cancer. He as born on September 13, 1977 in Janesville, the son of Oscar “Bo” and Jacquline (Collicott) Quaerna.

Michael worked for and with his best friend Michael Schumacher at MDS Flooring. He had a passion for his work in laying hardwood flooring. He enjoyed traveling, water sports, snow skiing, and watching college football. He touched the hearts of many and will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his Mother, Jackie Quaerna, Sisters: Vicki (Jerry) Yettaw, Linda Cantwell, Terri (Brian) Lambert, Carrie (Aaron) Nottingham and Patty (Bill) Duncan. Brothers: Jerry (Ann) Quaerna and Joe (Amy) Quaerna. Many nieces, nephews, cousins and his very special Uncle, Jim Quaerna.

We know Michael is now with his Father, Oscar “Bo” Quaerna, his aunt Jeanne Morrison, his brother Brian Carhart, his two brother in-laws Terry Michael and Keith Cantwell, his nephew, Dustin Buol and his loving grandparents. He is loved here on earth as well as in heaven.

A visitation of remembrance will be held from 1 P.M. to 3 p.m. Thursday, September 26, 2024, at HENKE-CLARSON FUNERAL HOME,1010 N. Wright Road, Janesville.
