Matthew Henry Schoeberle, age 62 of Janesville passed away on May 23, 2023 at his home with his wife, Sandra and daughter Kayla at his side.
Matthew was born in Janesville on March 17, 1961 the son of Henry “Hank” and Carol (Bahr) Schoeberle. He grew up in Janesville and graduated from Parker High School. He served in the U. S. Navy from March 26, 1981 to March 25, 1985.
Matthew married Sandra L. Severson on June 27, 1992. He was employed as a maintenance technician for various companies until his health failed.
Matthew was a life member of Kienow-Hilt V.F.W. Post # 1621 and a former member of Moose Lodge # 197. He enjoyed camping, fishing, visiting museums and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Matthew is survived by his wife, Sandra Schoeberle; daughter, Kayla Schoeberle; granddaughter, Olivia Curtis; special grandson, Jax Montejeno; brothers and sisters, Brad Schoeberle, Pam (Roy) Hinz, Jeanne Butcher, Gary (Alyse) Schoeberle, Marisa Schoeberle; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. His parents, Hank and Carol Schoeberle and his brother, Peter Schoeberle preceded him in death.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday, June 1, 2023 at HENKE-CLARSON FUNERAL HOME, 1010 N. Wright Road, Janesville. Services will follow at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 1st at the FUNERAL HOME with military rites conducted by Kienow-Hilt V.F.W. Post # 1621.
