Mary L. Sveom

August 28, 1925 — February 6, 2024

Mary Louise Sveom, age 98, of Janesville passed away peacefully on February 6, 2024 at Rock Haven. She was born on August 28, 1925, the daughter of Edgar and Dolly (Reynolds) Dabson. She married Alvin Sveom on December 29, 1951. They had two children, Sandra and Bob. Mary was a homemaker for most of her life. She was involved in Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts as her children grew up. Mary and Alvin resided in Janesville, later moving to Adams County, WI and Tucson, AZ before returning to Janesville.


Mary is survived by her children; Sandra (Dennis) Heise, Robert (Mary Ann) Sveom ; grandchildren, Joshua Sveom, Wendy (Chris) Ganzow; great-grandchild, Kaila Ganzow. Mary Louise was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.


We would like to give a special thank you to the Rock Haven staff and to Agrace Hospice for the wonderful care they gave our mother.


A visitation will be held from Noon to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, February 15, 2024 at HENKE-CLARSON FUNERAL HOME, 1010 N. Wright Road, Janesville with funeral services to follow at 1:30 p.m. Feb. 15th at the Funeral Home. Entombment will be in the Milton Lawns Memorial Park Mausoleum.
