Margie Jean Richards

Margie Jean Richards, age 68, of Janesville died on June 30, 2021 at The Green Knolls at Beloit. She was born on December 18, 1952, the daughter of Ronald and June (Lowe) Williams. Margie will be greatly missed. She always made time for all of her grandkids and her children. Spending time with her children and grandchildren gave her great joy. She loved sewing, seeing family and her church. Margie enjoyed working in the kitchen at church and cooking for the Wednesday night Alpha program. She was a huge influence on her husband, Steve when they both started attending church regularly. She enjoyed traveling to Ohio to see Steve’s family. Margie also enjoyed spending time with her gal pals playing cards. When she was unable to get out with family and friends, she and Steve would stay home watching TV and enjoying each other’s company. Margie is survived by her husband, Steve Richards; her children, Jennifer (Scott) Lund, Richard (Stephanie) Merriett; grandchildren, Hannah DeVoe, Dallas DeVoe, Jack Plucinski and Kaylie Merriett; brothers, Ed Williams, Mike Williams and Ken Williams. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Jack Williams and Tom Williams. A celebration of Margie’s life will be held on Saturday July 17, 2021 with visitation from 10 to 10:30 a.m. followed by services at 10:30 a.m. at Church of Christ, Roxbury Road, Janesville. Pastor Jon Grice will officiate.
