Margaret M. Socwell

Margaret Marie Socwell, age 75, of Janesville, WI passed away at her home on October 14, 2024. She was born in Fond du Lac, WI on May 15, 1949, the daughter of Vernon and Glennis (Lant) Horne. After the family moved to Janesville, Margaret attended Janesville schools and graduated from Janesville Senior High School. She later graduated from cosmetology school in Milwaukee.

Margaret married Robert E. Socwell on February 12, 1972. She was employed as a hairdresser and prior to retiring was day care provider from her home. Margaret enjoyed playing cards with Robert and their friends as well as going to the casinos.

Margaret is survived by her husband of 52 years, Robert Socwell; daughter, Kimberly (Brandon) Galbrecht of Janesville; grandchildren, Kaylynn and Liberty Galbrecht; her mother, Glennis Horne of Janesville. She was preceded in death by her father; Vernon Horne and her brother, Robert Horne.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2024, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Junction Pub, 130 Merchant Row, Milton, WI. Margaret will be interred privately at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Union Grove, WI.
