Lila M. Yager

Lila M. Yager, 90, of Janesville, WI passed away at her home on May 13, 2024. She was born August 24, 1933, in Woodland Township, MN, the daughter of Louis and Meta (Wandersee) Yager. She grew up on her family’s farm in Minnesota.

On December 28, 1952, Lila married Ronald Yager. Two sons, Kurtis and Jason were born of the marriage. The family moved to Janesville, WI in 1972. Lila was employed for many years as the manager of Freedom Hall Assisted Living Facility in Janesville.

Lila was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church where she was active in various church groups including the L.W.M.L. She enjoyed gardening, shopping and riding the ATV. She loved decorating her home including doing the painting and paper hanging herself. She was the perfect homemaker and will be remembered for the joy she received from hanging out with her daughter-in-law and her son, as well as Kurt’s friends.

Lila is survived by her son Kurt; daughter-in-law Heidi; grandson Ryan (Amber) and great-granddaughter, Nataly. She was preceded in death by her husband Ronald Yager in 2020 and her son Jason in 2010. She was also preceded in death by her parents as well as her siblings.

A visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. to Noon on Monday, May 20, 2024 at ST. PAUL’S EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH, 210 South Ringold St. Janesville with services to follow at Noon Monday, May 20th at the Church. Pastor Daniel Decker will officiate. Entombment will be in the Milton Lawns Memorial Park Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers or memorials please spend some time with your family and friends and enjoy the time and memories you have of LILA.
