Lana Marlene Larson, age 68 of Janesville, WI passed away at home on Feb 6, 2025. She was born on May 9, 1956 in Lancaster WI, the daughter of Herschel and Doris Jeffres. She grew up in Fennimore and graduated from Fennimore High School in 1974. Lana married Rory J Larson on June 22nd, 1974. They lived in Fennimore and were blessed with 4 children before moving to Janesville in 1997. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in June of 2024 with their children.
Lana was proud to be a stay at home mother and homemaker. She loved gardening, nature walks, reading, natural healing, and quality time with family and friends. Rory and Lana enjoyed traveling together; destinations included Belize, Hawaii, Curacao, Alaska, and many more. She loved spending summer weekends at their getaway in Minocqua where Lana was the registered loon ranger for Carrol and Madeline lakes. She treasured the memories made on the many pontoon boat rides where she would enjoy watching the eagles and wildlife. Most of all, Lana was a person of deep faith and treasured her relationship with her heavenly father. She was proud to share her hope and faith with others by teaching Bible truths with all. She was an active member of the local congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Lana is survived by her husband, Rory; children, Stesha (Kyle) Ross, Sabrina (Jeremy) Stattmann, Shantelle (Mitch) Dorn, and Levi Larson; grandchildren, London Larson, Skya Opal Ross, Cedar Larson, and Banks Larson; mother, Doris Jeffres aged 102; sister, Candice (Larry) McDaniel; brother, Tim (Jill) Jeffres; and numerous beloved cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Herschel Jeffres and beloved nephews Aaron and Ashton McDaniel.
A memorial service will be held at 2:30pm Sunday, February 16th at 10 South Event Center at 10 South High St. Janesville, WI. Jon Golz will be officiating.
