Kenneth J. Dremsa, age 92 of Janesville, WI passed away on January 25, 2024 at Mercy Hospital & Trauma Center. The son of Edward J and Elizabeth (Bomkamp) Dremsa, he was born in Crawford County, WI where he grew up on the family farm. This is where he acquired his love for farming, and especially for horses. As a young boy he was able to train his horse Suzie, to do special tricks.
Kenneth graduated from Blue River High School. He served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Korea where he helped with road building following the Korean Conflict.
Kenneth married Mary G. Wicker on August 13, 1960, in Boscobel, WI. Shortly after their marriage, they moved to Janesville and Kenneth worked on the construction of I-90. He then went to work for the Janesville Auto Transport Company as an over the road long haul truck driver which he continued to do until he retired.
Kenneth always had a love of nature and the great outdoors, spending as much time as he could hiking, picnicking, camping and enjoying nature. He passed this love of nature onto his kids. He taught them a lot about nature. They spent a lot of time as a family enjoying nature together.
Another legacy Kenneth left for his children was to have a strong faith.
Kenneth is survived by his children; Diana M. Dremsa and Joseph K. Dremsa; sister, Judy (Tom) Seamonson; nephews, Gregory Seamonson and David Ryan; niece, Christina Smith and son. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Dremsa in August of 1995. He was also preceded in death by his brother Richard J. Dremsa; his parents, sister, Jeanette Ryan and brother-in-law Jim Ryan.
A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, February 2, 2024 at HENKE-CLARSON FUNERAL HOME, 1010 N. Wright Road, Janesville. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 3, 2024 at MILTON LAWNS MEMORIAL PARK CHAPEL 2200 Milton Avenue, Janesville with military rites by Kienow-Hilt V.F.W. Post # 1621. Memorial donations may be made in Kenneth’s name to the Humane Society of Southern Wisconsin.
