Jean E. Tronnes

Jean E. Tronnes, age 96, of Cottage Grove, WI, a former Janesville area resident passed away on June 2, 2022 at U.W. Hospital, Madison. She was born in Orfordville, WI on June 8, 1925 the daughter of Asa and Mildred (Trostem) Pierce. Jean graduated from Evansville High School in 1943. Following graduation she joined the U.S. Cadet Nurse Corp and graduated from St. Anthony’s Hospital School of Nursing, Rockford, IL. During her professional career as a registered nurse, she was a P.M. supervisor in a hospital, director of nursing services and licensed nursing home administrator. Jean Tronnes is survived by three children; Daryl Tronnes of Seymour, TN, Debra (Robert) Schmidt of Florida, Doreen Fobes of Madison, WI; one granddaughter; two great-grandsons; one brother, Robert Pierce of Oklahoma; one nephew; two nieces and several cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Eric Lawry; a special cousin, Ruth Hackbarth of Janesville and Daryl’s long-time partner, Patty Kutlik. At Jean’s request no visitation or services will be held. Private burial will be in the Orfordville Lutheran Cemetery.
