Jay Scott Dutcher of Janesville, WI passed away at Mercy Hospital on January 30, 2025, surrounded by his children. He was 63 years old. Jay was a life-long Janesville resident and was born on August 22, 1961, the son of Raymond and Margaret (Higgins) Dutcher. He attended Janesville schools including Parker High School.
Jay was formerly employed by Trent Tube (currently Plymouth Tube), United Industries, Simmons Mattress, and also operated his own cleaning business. After retiring due to disability, he enjoyed going to auctions and became an avid collector of HOT WHEELS. He was an avid hunter, especially deer hunting with his family.
Jay is survived by three children, Rachel (Daniel) Slater, Kyle (Danielle) Dutcher, and Jared (Tia) Dutcher; grandchildren, Evan, Malachi, Kaden, Amaya, Karson, Ella, and Zander; his sister, Connie (Rick) Bush; and special friend, Judy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Steven and Larry Dutcher.
Funeral services will be at Noon, on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at HENKE-CLARSON FUNERAL HOME, 1010 N. Wright Road, Janesville. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery, Whitewater. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon, on February 4th at HENKE-CLARSON FUNERAL HOME. Online condolences can be shared at www.henkeclarson.com.
