James Peter Jensen

James Peter Jensen, age 71, of Janesville passed away July 27, 2024 at Agrace Center for Hospice & Palliative Care. He was born in Janesville on August 28, 1952, the son of Eugene and Evelyn (Ostrander) Jensen. He was a veteran of the U. S. Marine Corp.

James married Margaret Solles on December 15, 1981. He was formerly employed as a security guard at the Janesville General Motors plant and for the past 15 years served as caregiver for his wife, Margaret. He was a member of the V.F.W. and Elks.

James Jensen is survived by his wife, Margaret; three sons, Jimmy Jay (Tina) Jensen, Shawn (Nicole Miracle) Jensen, Jesse Jensen; a daughter from a previous marriage, Christine; grandchildren, Brandon, Cayden, Grayson, Elizabeth, Colin, Cheyenne; great-grandchildren, Karsten, Lincoln, Kai-Ezra; brothers and sisters, Mike (Georgieann) Jensen, Darcy (Ken) Gasch, Garry (Kelly) Jensen, Robert Jensen, Scott Jensen, Sherry (Dale) Grams, Gene (Nicky) Jensen, D J (Larry) Goff, Theresa Eberley; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to his parents, Eugene Jensen and Evelyn Elrod, James was preceded in death by sisters; Debra Schlegel and Vickie Jensen.

A celebration of life will be held at the SALVATION ARMY COMMUNITY CENTER, 514 Sutherland Avenue, Janesville on Thursday, August 8, 2024 from 2 to 6 p.m. Burial with military rites by Kienow-Hilt V.F.W. Post # 1621 will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, August 8th in the Veterans Section of Oak Hill Cemetery, Janesville.
