On Thursday, October 24, 2024, James “Jim” Flewelling “Flew” of Janesville, WI gained the wings he so deserved surrounded by his family who adored him.
Jim was born November 13, 1942, the son of Carroll and Beulah (Prasser) Flewelling. He grew up in Muskego, WI and graduated from Muskego High School in 1960. A few years after graduating, he served for four years in the U. S. Army, stationed in Alaska as a dog handler with the military police. Following his discharge, he pursued a career with the Janesville Police Department. Jim married his favorite girl, Melodie on his 50th birthday, November 13, 1992. Jim will be remembered for his warm heart, his sense of humor and his love for his family, fishing, animals, gardening and painting.
Jim is survived by his loving wife of nearly 32 years, Melodie; Seven children, Scott Flewelling, Emily (David) McDonald, Samantha (Tim) Lippens, Prescott Lawrence, Zac Lawrence, Mitch Flewelling and Khali (Hunter) Nordeng; grandchildren, Nathan, Heidi, Brody, Emma, Kimmy, Ke’Maries, Addie, Veda, Ruthie, Hudson and his newest grandson, baby Parker James; special nieces and nephews and many forever friends.
