Grayson Thomas Widener, age 8, of Janesville passed away at American Family Children’s Hospital in Madison on September 25, 2022. He was born in Madison on August 18, 2014, the son of Thomas Widener and Jasmine Crawford.
Grayson was a second grader at Jefferson Elementary School. He loved Spiderman, Ghostbusters, Stay Puft and his trips to Florida. He also had a great love for dancing, singing, playing DJ and football with his brother, Major. He was very artistic and loved to draw pictures and enjoyed being a fan of the Green Bay Packers.
Grayson will be dearly missed by his twin brother, Major Thomas Widener; father, Thomas Widener; grandparents, Tena Grams, Jody Sommers, Kerry Widener, Anthony Garthwaite, David Lopez; great-grandparents Gary Sommers, Phyllis Grams and Dominga Lopez; aunts and uncles, Shyanne Havenhill, Brittany and Tyler Southwick, Tifne Widener, Kayla Garthwaite, Jessica Widener, Tabetha Lopez, Austin Lopez as well as numerous other aunts, uncles and cousins.
Grayson was preceded in death by his mother, Jasmine Crawford on March 3, 2022. He was also preceded in death by his grandfather, Jerry Widener and his great-grandmother, Janet Sommers.
A memorial gathering to honor Grayson will be held from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday, October 6, 2022, at HENKE-CLARSON FUNERAL HOME, 1010 N. Wright Road, Janesville. Online condolences may be shared at www.henkeclarson.com.
