Gary L. Graves

Gary Lee Graves, age 70 of Janesville, WI passed away at his home on May 31, 2024, following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Janesville on May 27, 1954, the son of Ronald and Jeanne (Austin) Graves. He grew up in Janesville and graduated from Parker High School in 1972.

Gary married Mary Ann Jose on September 6, 1988. He was formerly employed by OMC, Ott Schweitzer, and most recently by NAPA Auto Parts.

Gary enjoyed fishing, hunting, baseball, football (especially the Brewers and Packers) and golfing. He was a member of the Glen Erin Golf Course. Above all else, Gary will be remembered for the joy he gave and received from spending time with his family and his many friends.

Gary Graves is survived by his wife, Mary Graves; son, Bryan Graves; grandson, Austin Graves; brothers, Dennis (Lori) Graves and Ron Graves; sister-in-law, JoDell Weigelt; nephews, Jason Graves, Eric Graves, and Kyle Weigelt; nieces, Christiane West, Ashley Graves and Julie Murphy; godson, Kyle Schwartz; numerous great nieces and great nephews, as well as his many friends. Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Ronald and Jeanne Graves; brother, James Graves; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Gilbert and Frieda Jose.

A visitation will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday, June 7, 2024, at HENKE-CLARSON FUNERAL HOME, 1010 N. Wright Road, Janesville and again from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday, June 8th with services to follow at 10 a.m. at the HENKE-CLARSON FUNERAL HOME. Rev. Lee Meissner will officiate.
