Frank J. Pennycook

Frank J Pennycook, age 93, of Janesville, WI passed away at SSM St. Mary’s Janesville Hospital on April 17, 2020. He was born March 2, 1927 in Janesville, the son of Stuart and Anna (Kersten) Pennycook. He graduated from Janesville High School in 1945 and served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1945 to 1947. He married Shirley Carroll on May 1, 1948 at the Milton Congregational Church. Frank was employed by several automobile dealers as a salesperson for 63 years. He worked for Wells Motors in Janesville from 1952 to 1992. Frank was a member of St. John Lutheran Church. He was a member and Past Exalted Ruler of Janesville Elk’s Lodge # 254. Frank is survived by his wife of nearly 72 years, Shirley; three children, Judy (David) Ciaglo, Jim (Sheila) Pennycook, and Jon (Michelle) Pennycook; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Frank was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers and their wives, Gordon and Audrey Pennycook, Robert and Karen Pennycook; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Dick and Mary Brookins and Dave and Sandy McCulloch; and one granddaughter.
