Elizabeth R. Johnson

Elizabeth Ruth Johnson, age 65 of Janesville passed away on December 6, 2023, at Mercy Hospital following a brief illness. She was born on December 1,1958 in Janesville, the daughter of Kenneth and Elaine (Wyman) Arndt. Elizabeth grew up in Janesville and graduated from Craig High School in 1977. She later received an associate degree from Blackhawk Technical College in dietary services.

Elizabeth was formerly married to Frederick Greb with whom she had her daughter, Callista and later was married to Jeffrey Johnson.

Elizabeth was the director of dietary services for several health care facilities and retired from Waukesha Springs Health & Rehabilitation Center. She loved cooking for people and especially enjoyed spreading her joy by cooking for the elderly. Elizabeth loved her pets, enjoyed entertaining and was especially fond of times spent with family.

Elizabeth is survived by her daughter, Callista Greb; her siblings, Steven Arndt, Kristine (Warren) Strelcheck, Carol Johnson, Keith Arndt, Jo Ann (Phil) Brown; numerous nieces and nephews. Her parents, Kenneth and Elaine Arndt preceded her in death.

Elizabeth’s wishes were that no services be held. A celebration of life will be held in her honor at a future date.
