Eileen E. Johnson

JANESVILLE - Eileen Elizabeth (Glaessel) Johnson age 79 of Janesville passed away on July 8, 2023, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on December 9, 1943, in Elmhurst, IL, the daughter of Forrest and Ardeen (Dulin) Glaessel. She graduated from Janesville Craig High School in 1963 and from cosmetology school in 1976.

Eileen married Gayle R. Johnson on November 6, 1976, in Westby, WI. A Janesville resident for most of her life, Eileen loved all the friendships she made while working at the beauty salon over the years.

Eileen had a great love for baking, canning, gardening and of course the Packers. In her retirement she especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Eileen is survived by two children, John (Michelle) Bush of Milton and Elizabeth “Beth” (Nathan) Krueger of Janesville; her companion, James “Andy” Cronin of Janesville; her grandchildren, Porsha, Ariel, Tyler, Anna, Gracie and Caleb; her great-grandchildren, Bentley, McLaren, Stylous and Everest; and her brother, Steve (Marcia) Glaessel of Reno, NV. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gayle Johnson; her son, Thomas Robert Bush; and her parents.

Eileen’s family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to Agrace Hospice for the care and concern they extended during this difficult time.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 15, 2023, at ST. PAUL’S EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH, 210 South Ringold St., Janesville. Rev. Daniel Decker will officiate. Visitation will be held at the CHURCH on Saturday, July 15th from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery.
