Dr. Kenneth Frenton Currier, age 68, of Janesville, Wis., passed away on October 31, 2019 at University of Wisconsin Hospitals & Clinics in Madison. He was born on September 20, 1951 in Coffeyville, KS, the son of Clifford and Jeanette (Duncan) Currier. Kenny grew up and spent his early childhood in Arizona where many loving memories stayed with him always. He received a Doctorate of Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He wrote the grant to begin the rehabilitation counseling program at Northeastern Illinois University in Chicago, where he was a professor and counselor. Dr. Currier is survived by his husband of 25 years, Dale Poteat; his mother, Jeanette Currier; two sisters, Kay Grimmett (husband John) and Kim Currier Freese (husband Tim); two nephews; one niece; and one great-niece. He was preceded in death by his father, Clifford Currier; and a sister, Karen Currier.
