Dennis Carlson

October 15, 1943 — May 22, 2023

Dennis Carlson of Janesville passed peacefully at home surrounded by his faithful dog (Murphy) and wife (Shirley).

Dennis grew up in Edgerton, and was the self-proclaimed “best dancer” of his graduating class. Dennis worked for many years at Dorsey Trailer, Highway Trailer, and finally the GM plant. He enjoyed building things with his hands, and seeing the final result roll off the production line.

Dennis also loved: loud exhaust, hot rod vehicles, motorcycles, a good card game, sunshine, being near bodies of water, tattoos, rock ‘n roll, model cars, watching his grandkids succeed, and his loving wife, and best friend, Shirley.

Dennis often talked about his special relationship with this grandfather (Paul), who adored Dennis, and helped build his passion for cars, racing, and boats.

He is proceeded in death by his parents Hilda and Henry, his sister JoAnne, and his only son Paul. He is survived by his grandkids: Logan, Jaxon, Harper, Riley, Corey, Craig, and Alex. And two great grandchildren: Kyla and Caden. As well as his daughter Kim, and step-children Ryan and Kelly.

There will be a celebration of life on July 8, 2023 from 2-4 at the 1848 Lounge 112 W Fulton, Edgerton, WI. Please bring your funny stories and memories to share. In lieu of flowers, please play your AC/DC loud, rev your engines, and tell someone you love them.

HENKE-CLARSON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY assisted the family. Online condolences may be sent to www.henkeclarson.com.
