Demetrius Andrew Smith De Leon

Demetrius Andrew Smith De Leon, age 28, of Madison, WI a former Janesville resident passed away on July 21, 2022 at his home. He was born October 8, 1993 in Arlington Heights, IL the son of Paul William Smith II and Bernita De Leon. He attended Janesville Craig High School and graduated from Janesville Charter School in 2012. He had been employed at Cheba Hut in Madison. Demetrius held a strong passion for music and a drive to master any unique instrument he came across. He held a strong bond with his inseparable companion, Pepe the chihuahua, his very own King’s Guard. Demetrius had the ability to make those around him laugh, sing, and smile because he knew nothing was more important in this world. He simply wanted for those around him to be happy and cherish what they had in life. His favorite days were those spent in pajamas, playing adventure games with the ones he loved. May he rest in peace riding through the Fields of Hyrule, smashing pots in the town’s general shoppe and flying high with the Cuccos. Demetrius is survived by his mother, Bernita De Leon; his father, Paul William Smith II; his step-father, Aaron Pino; brothers, Aaron Duran Smith, Alejandro Marcos Pino, Andrew Rey Pino, John Alexander Greenwood; sister, Delilah De Leon Brookens; grandmother Olga Trevino; aunt, Felipita De Leon; uncles Geronimo De Leon, Luciano De Leon and Noel De Leon. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Felipe De Leon. A visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at HENKE-CLARSON FUNEAL HOME, 1010 N. Wright Road, Janesville, Funeral services will follow at 4 p.m. Wednesday, August 3rd at the FUNERAL HOME. Pastor Jason Herzog will officiate. Memorials to the family would be appreciated.
