Debra S. Laufenberg

JANESVILLE - Debra Sue (Steinhoff) Laufenberg of Janesville was born September 17, 1949, in Madison, WI. She passed away peacefully on March 9, 2024, surrounded by her family at Cedar Crest, Janesville. She was age 74.

Debra married Roger W. Laufenberg on February 24, 1968. She graduated from Royall High School, Elroy, WI in 1967 and from Blackhawk Technical College, Janesville in 1984 with an associate degree in accounting.

In previous years, Debra was a hospice volunteer and had been active as a parent in the garden club when her children were in school. She was one of the organizers of the local Red Hat Society organization and had been active with the Genealogy Society. She enjoyed being with her family, especially her grandchildren, trips with her special friend (Marianne), her Red Hat “Sisters”, gardening, and Zumba.

Debra was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth Steinhoff, Sr., and Margaret E. (Kinney) Steinhoff; and her sister, Pam (Steinhoff) Weaver. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Roger; two sons, Jason (Desiree) and Eric (Jennifer); grandchildren, Hunter, Austin, and Cassidy; sisters, Bonnie (Don) Bender, Karen (Bob) Marty, Susan (Jim) Kuderer, Cynthia Brummund, and Connie (Kirt) Brummund; brother, Kenneth Steinhoff, Jr.

A visitation will be held from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday March 16, 2024, at HENKE-CLARSON FUNERAL HOME, 1010 N. Wright Road, Janesville with services to follow at 3 p.m. Saturday at HENKE-CLARSON FUNERAL HOME.
