David Wayne "Neldog" Nelson

David Wayne “Neldog” Nelson, age 57, of Janesville passed away April 2, 2023 at U. W Hospital, Madison. After battling a long illness. He was born on April 9, 1965 in Kenosha, WI, the son of Robert W. and Barbara A. (Lindvig) Nelson. After the family moved to Janesville when Dave was two years old, he grew up here and graduated from Parker High School in 1983.

Dave was employed by Hardee’s as a manager and Owen Vending Company prior to starting his own business, Nellie’s Lawn and Snow Removal which he continued to operate until August 2022 when his health failed.

Dave loved hunting, fishing and playing cards. He was an avid pool player and enjoyed bowling but above all else, spending time with his grandchildren was his favorite activity.

Dave Nelson is survived by his mother, Barbara Nelson; son, Joshua Nelson; sister, Beth (Patrick) Morgan; grandchildren, Matthew, Alivia, Zoie and Jamisyn; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Nelson; his maternal and paternal grandparents.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2023 from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at HENKE-CLARSON FUNERAL HOME, 1010 North Wright Road, Janesville. A brief service will follow at 12:30 p.m. April 22nd at the FUNERAL HOME. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established in Dave’s name.
