Christine Josephine Pollak

Christine Josephine Pollak, age 77, of Janesville, WI passed away on Friday, May 27, 2022 at Mercyhealth Hospital & Trauma Center. She was born on August 3, 1944 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Mitchell and Virginia (Suchta) Jaworski. Christine grew up in Chicago and graduated from St. Ferdinand’s Elementary School, Notre Dame High School for Girls both in Chicago, IL. and St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing, Evanston, IL. Christine married Leonard H. Pollak on August 1, 1994 in Chicago. She was employed as a registered nurse for 40 years, specializing in pediatrics and worked for 27 years at St. Joseph Hospital in Chicago. She was a member of the American Nursing Association. Christine Pollak is survived by her loving husband, Leonard; sisters, Darlene Green and Suzy (Bruce) Holstrom; sister-in-law, Shelagh Moore Jaworski; niece, Cassie (Gary); nephews John and Gregory. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Gary Jaworski. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Thursday, June 23rd until the time of the service at the funeral home. A “Celebration of Life” gathering of family and friends will be held at 11 a.m, with a luncheon immediately following.
