Carolyn Lee Gerhard, age 82 of Janesville, Wi passed away on Sunday morning November 5, 2023 at Oak Park Place. She was born in Milwaukee, WI on May 30, 1941, the oldest of four children of Ernest and Wilma (Adamec) Molzof. She grew up on farms in Waukesha and Grant Counties in Wisconsin and from a very young age was always assisting her father and family on the farm. She attended Arrowhead High School and received a certificate as a certified nursing assistant from Waukesha Technical College.
Carolyn was employed at the Waukesha County Home “Northview” for many years as a certified nursing assistant. After moving to Janesville, she was employed as a home health care aid.
Carolyn married Merwin E. “Muff” Gerhard on June 23, 1976. He preceded her in death on November 15, 2018. The Christian religion was always extremely important in Carolyn’s life. She was very artistic and loved doing arts and crafts as well as gardening and flowers. She will be remembered for her sense of humor, loving to laugh and to make those around her laugh.
Carolyn is survived by her daughter, Amy Eldridge; sisters, Judith Holcomb and Vicki (John) Hulbert both of Monticello, WI; five stepchildren, 17 step grandchildren, 30 step-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Merry Molzof of Florida; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son Matthew and her brother, James E. Molzof.
A private family visitation will be held at HENKE-CLARSON FUNERAL HOME, 1010 N. Wright Road, Janesville from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, November 11,2023 followed by private family services at 2 p.m. Entombment will be in Milton Lawns Memorial Park Mausoleum.
