JANESVILLE - Carol J. Raber age 87 of Janesville passed away on January 25, 2024, at Willowick Assisted Living in Janesville where she had made her home for the past 4 years. Carol was born on August 3, 1936, in Ladysmith, WI, the daughter of Earl and Elsie (Baker) Gray. She graduated from Ladysmith High School in 1954.
Carol married the love of her life, Arthur L. Raber on December 25, 1953. They had three children, Debbie, Mike and Tim. Carol and Arthur were always together. They were never alone. Carol had many hobbies. She and Arthur traveled to many places in their Winnebago Motor Home. They especially enjoyed trips to Branson and Nashville to hear country music, which they both enjoyed. Both Carol and Arthur enjoyed dancing and camping. Carol loved to crochet, cook, bake, and especially enjoyed her doll collection. She also liked to read and send handwritten letters to friends.
Carol’s family includes her daughter Debbie (Rich) Leprich; Debbie’s two sons Jamie(Jen) Muth and their three sons, Parker, Cooper and Spenser; Dr. Bryan (Kendra) Muth and their four children Jackson, Atlas, Aayla and Axel; her late son, Mike Raber and his late wife, Sherrie Raber; their daughter, Nichol, and her daughters, Anastasis and Kelsie Radloff; son, Tim (Gina) Raber. She is further survived by her sister-in-law, Betty Stone of Florida, as well as many loved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Arthur on March 18, 2010.
“How Carol loved her grand kids and great grandkids – She told them to watch for the butterfly because it would be me, watching over them – so they need to say “Hi Grandma”.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, February 1, 2024, in the Chapel at Milton Lawns Memorial Park, 2200 Milton Avenue, Janesville. Pastor Orienthal J. Newburn, Sr. will officiate. Visitation will be in the chapel on Thursday, Feb. 1st from 1:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. Entombment will be in the Milton Lawns Mausoleum.
