Beverly D. Smith

Beverly D. (Rogers) Smith, age 93 of Janesville, WI passed away at Rock Haven surrounded by her family on Sunday, March 2, 2025. She was born in Janesville, the daughter of Elmer and Florence (Morrison) Rogers. Beverly married Dean Kemp in 1950. They made their home on a farm in Newark Township where they operated a dairy farm and riding stable. Beverly loved horses and the outdoors. 

Later Beverly worked as a caregiver and housekeeper in private homes. Above all else, family and friends were a very important part of her life. Beverly was known for her one liner humor and was a rebel at heart. There was never a dull moment with Bev.

Beverly Smith is survived by her five children; Evyonne Kemp, Trish (Steve) Rumage, Cindy (Paul) Renly, Kevin Kemp, Earl (Rhonda) Kemp; six grandchildren, Deanna, Jamie, Jennifer, Alison, Nikki, Nathan; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Corey and her 10 siblings.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, March 7, 2025, at HENKE-CLARSON FUNERAL HOME, 1010 N. Wright Road, Janesville. Pastor Jon Grice will officiate. Burial will follow in Emerald Grove Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at HENKE-CLARSON FUNERAL HOME. Online condolences are welcome at www.henkeclarson.com.
