JANESVILLE - Barry B. Burlingame, 70, of Janesville, WI, passed away April 8, 2025, after a courageous fight with pancreatic cancer, surrounded by his wife and loved ones.
Barry was born March 2, 1955, in Portage, Wis., to Bert and Marge (Wilson) Burlingame, his family moved to Janesville, and he graduated from Craig High School in 1973. He worked at Eagle Foods and retired from Hormel Foods in 2019 after 30 years.
Barry married Cindy Sime on April 16, 1981. They were just shy of celebrating 44 happy years together.
Barry had a deep love for life's simple pleasures: spending time outdoors, grilling with friends and caring for his lawn. As an avid Packer and Wisconsin fan, he watched the games at home, always wearing his favorite hat. He cherished rounds of golf with friends, his lakeside visits with Cindy and their dog Duke, and his daily walks at the Palmer Dog Park to meet with friends.
Barry is survived by his wife, Cindy and his pride and joy, fur baby, Duke; sister, Mickey (Chuck) Jensen of Janesville; brother, Bill (Diane) Burlingame of Milton; brother-in-law, David (Pam) Sime of Florida; four nieces; and many friends and loved ones.
Barry was preceded in death by his parents, and in-laws, Ken and Kit Sime.
Per Barry's request, no services will be held. Henke-Clarson Funeral Home and Crematory is assisting the family. Online condolences can be shared at www.henkeclarson.com.
