Barbara Stenslien

Barbara Stenslien, age 95, of Janesville, WI passed away Saturday, September 9th, 2023. She was born to Floyd and Flossie (Keller) Waddell on June 4, 1928 in the town of Webster, in Vernon County. She married Verdel Stenslien on July 5, 1947.

Barbara was employed for 26 years at Eagle Foods. Barbara was an active member of Peace Lutheran Church since 1960 and was the oldest member of the church. She enjoyed knitting and her many phone conversations with nieces and nephews.

Barbara is survived by her daughter Karen (Larry) Entress, son Jim Stenslien, granddaughter Sarah Entress, and sisters-in-law Leona and Karen Waddell. She was also grandma to Mckenzie, Seve, Britten, and Jackson Bertagnoli. She is preceded in death by her husband Verdel and son Loren Stenslien, brothers John and Floyd Waddell, four sisters Karen Waddell, June Thayer, Ruby Smith, and Phyllis Beaver.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at PEACE LUTHERAN CHURCH, 1550 S. Osborne Ave. Janesville. Pastor Mark Schewe will officiate. Burial will follow in Milton Lawns Memorial Park. The visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 16th at the CHURCH.

A special thank you to Fern Streich for always being there for Barbara. We would also like to thank Agrace Hospice Care for the exceptional care they provided Barbara until she was called to heaven. Memorials can be made to Peace Lutheran Church or Agrace Hospice Care.
