JANESVILLE - Gary James Duller, 85, of Janesville, WI passed away on Saturday, June 10, 2023, at Agrace Hospice Care. Gary was born April 2, 1938, in Janesville, WI to Harold Duller and Pearl (Baker) Duller Gillespie. Gary graduated from Janesville Senior High School in 1956. He served in the U.S. Army from 1957 to 1959. He retired from General Motors as an inspector in 1987 after 31 years and was a member of UAW Local 95.
Gary married Sandra Muenchow on February 1, 1964. They had been married for 59 years and had two wonderful daughters. Gary was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and served on the Finance Committee.
Gary had a love of Corvettes and owned many of them. He had the first 1963 Stingray in Wisconsin. He enjoyed traveling to Florida with friends Don and Arless Randall and later to Arizona for winters. He enjoyed golfing, traveling, going to car shows, the theater, and watching the Green Bay Packers.
Gary is survived by his wife, Sandra (Muenchow) Duller; daughters, Laurie Duller and LeighAnn Duller; grandson, Jake Duller; brother, Thomas Gillespie, Jr.; brother-inlaw, Gerald (Virginia) Muenchow; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Duller; his mother, Pearl Baker Duller Gillespie; brother, Clark Duller; stepfather, Thomas Gillespie, Sr.; and father and mother-in-law, Leslie and Vera Muenchow.
Gary always joked that he had two LADS – Laurie Ann Duller and LeighAnn Duller. He loved his daughters and their dogs, Buster and Bozworth. His grandson Jake was very special to him.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, June 16, 2023, at HENKE-CLARSON FUNERAL HOME, 1010 N. Wright Road, Janesville. Rev. Daniel Decker will officiate. Entombment will be in the Milton Lawns Memorial Park Mausoleum. Military rites will be conducted by V.F.W. Post # 1621. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, June 15th and from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday, June 16th at HENKE-CLARSON FUNERAL HOME. Memorials may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church or Agrace HospiceCare.
