Richard G. Bornemann

Richard G. Bornemann, 82, of Janesville, WI, formerly of Port Saint Lucie, FL and Conover, NC passed away on September 9, 2010 at Mercy Hospital in Janesville. He was born in Lakewood, NJ on December 11, 1927, the son of William and Olga (Ulbrick) Bornemann. He married Marilyn Ellenberger on February 12, 1950. He was a veteran of the U. S. Coast Guard. Richard was a construction superintendent for world wide construction companies, Bectel, Stone & Webster, J. A. Jones and EBASCO, building nuclear power plants. He was a 54 year member of the Carpenters Union, a master mason with Harmony Masonic Lodge # 18 in New Jersey and a member of the Catawba County Shrine Club in North Carolina.

Surviving are his wife, Marilyn Bornemann of Janesville 4 children, Linda G. Long of Astoria, OR, Fred (Kari) Bornemann of Port Saint Lucie, FL, George (Kathryn) Bornemann of Livingston, MT, Ed (Laura) Bornemann of Janesville, six grandchildren, Kristal, Erik, Joe, Gus, Sam, Sonia, three great-grandchildren, Kurt, Jonathan, Daniel and one brother, William (Vivian) Bornemann of Upland, CA. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, September 19, 2010 at 4 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 3414 Woodhall Drive, Janesville with Rev. Jerry Amstutz presiding. Memorials are preferred to the Shriners Crippled Children’s Hospitals. Henke-Clarson Funeral Home. www.henkeclarson.com.
